Clients seen:
I’m a clinical psychologist and university professor with over 15 years of clinical, research, and teaching experience. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, and depression. I work primarily with adults and older adolescents.

I am licensed to practice in NC, FL, and NJ and certified to see clients virtually in any state where the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) is effective, which includes the majority of states in the United States. Like many other specialized providers, I don’t participate directly with any insurance companies, which means I am an out-of-network provider; however, I do provide clients with the required documentation to submit to insurance companies for direct reimbursement.

Professional Training:
I earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Florida State University. After finishing my pre-doctoral residency at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, I completed post-doctoral fellowships at Harvard University and Vanderbilt University. Across these experiences, I have received extensive training in leading evidence-based psychotherapies and have worked at all levels of care.

Aside from my clinical practice, I am also a professor of psychology at a large research university where I conduct research and mentor graduate students. I have been teaching our psychological interventions class and providing clinical supervision to doctoral students for several years.

I was named a “Rising Star” by the Association of Psychological Science and Best Early Career Researcher by the American Association of Suicidology as well as Behaviour Research and Therapy. For multiple years, I have also been recognized as “Highly Cited Researcher” by the Web of Science, which recognizes scientists whose work ranks in the top 1% of citations in their field. I have authored over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles, many of which are in the field’s leading journals. My research has also been covered in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Scientific American, NBC, PBS, the BBC, among others.
